Pudding Cake1 1/4 | c. | Flour | 3/4 | c. | Sugar | 2 | tsp. | Baking Powder | 1/4 | tsp. | Salt | 1/4 | c. | Cocoa | 3 | Tbsp. | Butter | 1/2 | c. | Milk | 1 | tsp. | Vanilla | 1/2 | c. | Nuts — Chopped (optional) | 2 | Tbsp. | Cocoa | 1/2 | c. | Brown Sugar | 1/2 | c. | Sugar | 1 | c. | Boiling Water |
1. | Mix together the Flour, 3/4 c. Sugar, Baking Powder, Salt and 1/4 c. Cocoa. | 2. | Add in the Butter, Milk, Vanilla and optional Nuts. | 3. | Mix Evenly. | 4. | Heat the oven to 350° | 5. | Press into a greased and floured, 8X8 inch pan. | 6. | In a different bowl, sift together 2 Tbsp. Cocoa, Brown Sugar, 1/2 c. Sugar. | 7. | Add boiling water and stir until thoroughly dissolved. | 8. | Pour over top of the batter in the pan. Do not stir it in. | 9. | Bake for 45 - 50 minutes. |
