1. | Beat 1/3 c. sugar into egg yolks. |
2. | Add salt. |
3. | Stir in Milk. |
4. | Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture coats spoon. |
5. | Cool. |
6. | Beat egg whites until foamy. |
7. | Gradually add 3 Tbsp. sugar, beating to soft peaks. |
8. | Add to custard and mix thoroughly. |
9. | Add vanilla and flavoring. |
10. | Chill 3 or 4 hours. |
11. | You can dot with islands of whipped cream and dash of nutmeg/cinnamon. |
