Simple, Healthy Pancakes1 | c. | whole wheat flour | 1/2 | tsp. | baking powder | 1 | | egg | 1 | c. | milk | 1 | pinch(es) | salt — optional |
1. | Mix all ingredients until moistened (do not over-mix). | 2. | Pour onto a hot griddle or flying pans. | 3. | Cook until browned on each side. | Variation 1 - whole wheat waffles: add 1/4 c. oil and 1/4 c. less milk.Variation 2 - sweeter pancakes/waffles: add 1/4 or more sugar.(from Stephen Stacey) |
