Spinach Almond Salad1 | bag(s) | fresh spinach | 1 | c. | slivered almonds — toasted | 1/2 | lb. | cooked bacon — crumbled | 1 | | granny smith apple — sliced very thin | | | -----Dressing------ | | | ----Ingredients---- | 1/4 | c. | sugar | 1/3 | c. | oil | 1/4 | tsp. | salt | 1 | Tbsp. | red onion — chopped | 3 | Tbsp. | cider vinegar |
1. | If almonds aren't already toasted, toast in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. | 2. | Wash spinach and dry well. | 3. | Tear into bite-sized pieces making sure to remove any large stems. | 4. | Add bacon, apple, and toasted almonds. | 5. | Set salad aside. | 6. | Mix dressing ingredients in blender and pour over spinach salad.
