Random Trivia For This Title:

  • At the beginning, Giselle is creating a mannequin of her 'true love'. The outfit it is wearing is never worn by the prince - but it is worn by Robert at the ball, near the end of the film.
  • The wedding dress that Giselle wore weighed 45 pounds. A stunt double taught Amy Adams how to move in the dress.
  • The first feature-length Disney live-action/traditional animation hybrid since Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
  • When Edward is on top of the bus, the people riding on tour buses next to him laughing and pointing at him weren't extras, but real tourists.
  • The actresses who provided the voices for three previous animated Disney princesses make appearances in the film: Jodi Benson ('Ariel' in The Little Mermaid), Paige O'Hara ('Belle' in Beauty and the Beast), and Judy Kuhn (Pocahontas). Also, Julie Andrews, who starred as the title character in Disney's live-action Mary Poppins, provides her voice here as the Narrator and Idina Menzel, who plays Nancy, would later voice the queen, Elsa, in the Disney's animated movie, Frozen, released 6 years after Enchanted.
  • A number of non-singers make their singing debuts in this film, including Patrick Dempsey. The only main character who does not sing is Nancy, played by actress Idina Menzel - a Broadway veteran and Tony Award winner. In an interview, Menzel stated she felt flattered to be hired solely as an actress.
  • In one scene, Prince Edward rides a bus through Times Square. In the background a large poster can be seen advertising the musical play "Wicked," which originally featured Idina Menzel, who plays Nancy in "Enchanted," in the starring role. Furthermore, Stephen Schwartz, who was the lyricist for Enchanted, was both the composer and lyricist for Wicked. The poster of Superman Returns can also be seen, which James Marsden starred in.
  • Giselle was originally supposed to be blonde, but in time they figured that red hair worked better.
  • Over 300 actresses auditioned for the role of Giselle. Amy Adams was number 275.
  • One of the elderly men dancers appeared in Mary Poppins as a chimney sweep. Two of the elderly men dancers appeared in West Side Story together.
  • HIDDEN MICKEY: The bus driver's hair is shaped like Mickey Mouse's ears, as well as the green pepper slices on the pizza Robert and Giselle are served at the Bella Notte restaurant.
  • The animated scenes were not actually done by the Disney Animation wing. It was done by James Baxter Animation, the studio responsible for Curious George.
