Random Trivia For This Title:

  • Georgie Must Die!: Georgie is a parody of Barney, of [Barney and Friends (1992)]. Barney is owned by a company called Henson International Television, or HiT. Jim Henson, who was involved in this show, was a co-founder of HiT.
  • A feature film spin-off was planned during the fourth season. But the show's falling ratings resulted in the cancellation of the show and the planned film.
  • Georgie Must Die!: The second parody of Barney used in the series, the first was a red dinosaur named Blarney.
  • Georgie Must Die!: Inside joke: Earl has to open the mouth of his Georgie costume to see who's in front of him. In real life the puppeteer inside the Earl costume could only see through Earl's mouth to know where he was walking. This was why Earl was constantly huffing and sighing during the show when he was exasperated over something.
  • Getting to Know You: The French birds want Charlene to acknowledge the genius of Jerry Lewis. At the time this episode was made, Americans generally regarded the early work of Lewis as embarasing buffoonery in poor taste and did not understand why the French loved him. This has not changed in 25 years.
  • If I Were a Tree: The title is based on a question asked during an interview between [?] Barbara Walters and movie actress [?] Katharine Hepburn, [?] Katharine Hepburn asked Barbra if she was a tree, what kind of tree would she be. A common misconception followed that [?] Barbara Walters herself asked the question to Katharine.
  • The Son Also Rises: The title is a parody of the novel 'The Sun Also Rises' by Ernest Hemingway, which was published in 1926. The title is a biblical quote from Ecclesiastes: "The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose."
  • Charlene's Flat World: Charlene and Robbie return from their trip around the world, their mother has cooked their favorite meal. When the son and daughter ask how she knew they would return on that particular day, she replies that she had prepared the same meal every day since they had left. The father mentions that she had made meatloaf for eighty days, so that is how long it took them to circumnavigate the globe, an obvious reference to the famous [?] Jules Verne novel (and later the movie) "Around the World in Eighty Days."
  • Hungry for Love: In the German dubbing all the dialogue about Mr. Richfield eating Wendy's boyfriend was replaced. He instead says, that his wife put him on diet and he ordered food to his workplace so nobody would find out he is cheating. Spike later says that Wendy's ex-boyfriends got lost in the woods while hunting and that they appeared again.
  • Nature Calls: Apart from the regular characters, no full-body dinosaurs appear in this episode. The only guest characters are the pteranodon, the mammals Baby meets, and the hand-puppet dinosaurs on the T.V.
  • Robbie has a teenage mutant ninja caveman on his wall
  • The Baby character was called "the baby" or Junior during the first two seasons. In [Dinosaurs: And the Winner Is... (1992)], Baby Sinclair is taken to the Cave of the Elders, where he is given his official name Ugh Ugh I'm Dying You Idiot Sinclair. The name was later exchanged for his new official name: Baby Sinclair.
  • During production of the 10th show of Season 4, Kevin Clash, in character as Baby Sinclair got cranky during film causing cast and crew to crack up laughing.
